Gee, let's get our crying towels out for the losers sitting in OCJ because they are upset over what they were served. (antipasto salad, apple pie, bread and Kool-Aid)
The two losers they talked to are "awaiting trial on charges of burglary, assault and violating probation" and "awaiting trial on a rape charge".
One said "When you go to dinner, salad is just a starter. You always get served a meal with a salad."
I say: IF you were actually PAYING for the meal, you have the right to complain. But seems YOU are sitting in jail and getting your meals paid for by TAXPAYERS who do not want to support your stupid A$$ to begin with, you need to deal with it!
I just love how criminals think that they "deserve" a large meal when there are families out here working their a$$es that can just barely feed their families.
I'd be feeding them bread and water!!!

They have nothing to cry about. Its not like they are being fed maggots.
Consider this though. Its one thing if you are awaiting trial and you are mistreated, as the court has not imposed the ruling of guilt. The system is set up to preserve the innocence, thus thus the accused should treated fairly. Regardless of actual guilt, at this point, the court has not passed judgment.
Here's my beef (slight tangent). After the sentencing and the criminal is serving time, the freedoms these convicts have is ridiculous. They have it better than the homeless.
Why has it come to this? Ask the criminal lawyers. They fight for the rights of prisoners.
Prison should be a punishment. It needs to be run such that those that enter and leave never want to return. A deterrent it is not. It has become more of a freeride.

I hear you on the guilty/innocent until proven guilty thing but to complain to the newspaper about the meal is stupid.
We used to get awesome antipasto salad and cheesy garlic knots from LaFata's years ago. (Frank made THE best there was!)
My ex and I loved it and the kids thought it was the greatest meal ever and looked forward to our "special" dinner nights.

I need to get the paper to read the article. Pall-Times or Syracuse?
LaFata's? Local to Oswego? Where was it located? I'm not that old, but not that young either. I don't remember it. I love a good antipasto. The best has prosciutto in it, at least to me. ;D

No spaghetti dinner! OMG That is laughable.
I totally see what you mean now. They really are crybabies.

What I can't believe is that the Post-Statndard printed the article. Slow news day I guess.
