Port City Theatre, a new theater company, will host auditions for its first two shows 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 5 at West Baptist Church, West Third and Mohawk streets, Oswego. The first production will commemorate the fifth anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks with the premiere of "The Guys," based on a true story and written by Anne Nelson. One man and one woman will appear in the play, set to run Sept. 8 to 10 and 14 to 16. A second production, planned for late October, is "In His Steps," written by Charles Sheldon and adapted by Ron Laws.
