True Grit @ Benefit for Ken Eggleston- Rt 81 Good Samaritan As some of you are aware, Ken Eggelston, an employee of PACE of CNY in North Syracuse, was the Good Samaritan who was critically injured when he was knocked off the Rt 81 bridge in North Syracuse on Jan.14th '07, while attempting to help several folks who were involved in a 30 car pileup. Co-workers, family, and friends are planning a benefit on behalf of Ken and his family on Sunday, March 25th, from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the American Legion Post- @ 5575 Legionnaire Drive, Cicero, behind the Cicero Post Office(Rt 31-west of Rt 11). True Grit will be performing there(2ish) minus our drummer Gary who is recuperating from hand surgery, and our good friend Jim Kelley (from Hard Drive fame) will be sitting in to beat the skins. There will be a guest acoustic performance before us, along with a country band going on later in the afternoon, and music provided by Northern Lights DJ Service throughout the day. There will food(tons!!), raffles, and 50/50 drawings. Tickets are $10 at the door. If you or your company have something to contribute in the way of a raffle item or just helping out you can contact Ron or Mark @ the PACE of CNY 413-4512. You can also contact Dan Hill through this myspace page or my own-Dangerous Dan. If you need any more information or directions dont hesitate to contact me or the PACE center. Ken will be there with his family, as he is finally home and in rehab.
Help us spread the word and bulletin and rebulletin this until the myspace servers blow-up!!!
Thanks for reading and hopefully we'll see you this Sunday!
The True Grit Band
