Could there be something more pleasing on a summer day than looking out at the blue vista of Lake Ontario from Oswego Harbor and dreaming? If you're 12 to 17 years old and would like to drink in that inspiration and write stories about where your imagination takes you, here's your chance. The H. Lee White Marine Museum, in Oswego, is sponsoring a summer writing workshop program called "Write On!" for young people. The workshops will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at the museum on Oswego's West First Street Pier. The topic Monday will be "Hey! What's on that Ship?" It will be "Exploring the Canal" Tuesday and Wednesday, it's "Dreaming and Writing on the Pier." The sessions are 2 to 4 p.m. each day. The cost is $7 per child ($5 for museum members) per session. Supplies and a snack will be provided. Advance registration is required. Participants may sign up for as many sessions as they wish. Professional instructor Diana Nygard holds a bachelor of arts degree from the State University College at Oswego in secondary education with English and a strong emphasis in theater. To register or for more information, call 342-0480 or visit www.hleewhitemarinemuseum.com.
