In case you're looking for something fun to do this weekend in Oswego County, here are some ideas:
- Join some-20,000 people lined up along East Bridge Street, from East Seventh Street to Oswego High School in the city of Oswego, to see floats, firetrucks and marching bands. The parade starts at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 2.
- Ooh and ah at the fireworks over the Oswego Harbor, starting at 9:45 p.m. Sunday, July 2 in the city of Oswego
- Enjoy carnival rides, games, the Railroad Tunnel Flea Market sale and the Oswego Elks Lodge chicken barbecue from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 1 at Washington Square Park. It's part of Oswego's 43rd annual Independence Celebration.
- Take a ride to the Oswego County Fair and see...

- If you love a parade - and fishing - then Central Square's the place to be Wednesday, July 5. A parade through the village will kick off the 2006 Citgo Bassmaster Elite Series, a fishing tournament on Oneida Lake that will feature the nation's top 100 anglers.
