MAYOR BATEMAN AND THE COMMON COUNCIL
The dolts on I.O. keep constantly berating the mayor because he has not brought another I.B.M. or some other huge industry into Oswego. What a bunch of naïve idiots go on to that site.
First of all, what is going on behind the scenes, as far as trying to entice businesses here is not something those dolts are privilege to. I've been told, and I believe, all of the present city government is working hard to try to draw business here, and it is not an easy sell. We have no major highway coming into this city, to start with. If you knew anything at all about commerce today, you would realize one of the first questions they ask is how far away you are located from a major interstate. We are too far away to draw any huge industry. End of story. They should have bypassed Fulton years ago and brought #481 right into Oswego from Syracuse, but, they listened to the Fulton people whine and cry, and that was the end of that.
Also, our taxes in New York, plus our energy costs and compensation costs are through the roof. That has to be changed at the state level. A local government can't change that. What we CAN do at the local level is to try to clean up this dump and try to make it more attractive to at least some smaller businesses to locate here, so don't be downplaying the importance of the current administration's efforts to do that. It is vitally important to our future. I was thrilled to learn that Bateman and the council put that as a top priority. They were right to do that. Good for you, Mayor Bateman. Keep up the good work.
And, what did that perv Gosek do to bring industry into Oswego? Right. He and his hood friends just about ruined this city and I bet those dolts never opened their traps then, did they? No, they were too busy tossing down drinks with the hoods at the local watering joints. I for one am thrilled that this new administration is trying to help clean up our city and I intend to keep supporting them as long as they keep things honest. I would advise those sore losers on I.O. to do the same. Like we don't know who you are. HA!
