D.S. Humphrey's, formerly Humphrey's Hideaway, will be opening under new ownership on August 14th. A grand opening is planned for August 19th from 6 pm till close with giveaways, food, entertainment and drink specials. The volleyball and horse shoe pits have been cleaned and are now useable. If you are interested in forming a fall league, stop out after the 14th to let me know. Fall pool and dart leagues are forming also. If you haven't been out in a while, stop in and say hi. Thanks Span

I will be looking for starter bands that want a venue to play. Have them contact me to listen to a demo CD. Although I am a metal fan, the current crowd is more of a soft rock/country group.

Sorry, can't help you with that one. I just know of 80's, alternative, and heavy rock. I do know of a couple of guys that does acoustic and they are pretty much open to anything. If interested, they play at Gatherings on Thursday nights. King Morrison, they are every enjoyable to listen to cause they will play anything from Sublime to Big and Rich. I love it when they do Neal Diamond. If you just want to talk to them, I can e-mail you the number to call them. Just let me know.

I agree, but he's good when he sings him. But he also does Sublime, Korn, Eminem, Big & Rich, you name it he sings it. He has a large set list. Gotta appreciate acoustic type music to be able to appreciate anyone who does it. Kinda like Dave Wolover (sp) when he plays without Dr. Boogie. Check them out at Gatherings in Phoenix every Thursday.

They play some of the mello type music as well as some alternatives. I think having another venue in the Oswego area would be great espcially the winter time. There is no place around here except Scriba Town Inn and that is so small. If you decide to go more rock on some nights, check out Steamers for the next few Thursday and you can hear some great bands. Each one has a website and they all bring in the crowds. If you want introductions, I can arrange that. I'll send you e-mail.

I am sorry to announce that the Grand Opening will be postponed. Over the past week, I have had my licquor license granted and suspended a couple times, through no fault of my own. As of this writing, it is not granted. It is going for appeal on Wednesday but rather than risk people making plans then not having it, I'd rather postpone and do it right. The kitchen will still be open and Friday night dinners will continue. I will keep you all posted and thanks for your support.

Sorry Little T but the blue is STILL waiting for ya! lol By the way, a lot of people have asked about the meals. I still do the Friday night fish dinners (with better products) and also run a daily lunch special for $5. I've already done chicken bbq's and steak bakes for golf tourneys and am now booking wedding receptions and parties.

My apologies to anyone that stopped out Friday for a fish dinner and found I had run out. It was an unusual situation with a long time client's funeral being the same night and everyone coming over after. I refuse to sell old or refrozen food therefore ran short. Big D with the Tasty Cafe will be here on 10/7 and I am looking forward to meeting more of you (thanks again to Bear and Little T)
