The Oswego State men’s and women’s hockey teams will compete in the 2006-07 season in the brand new hockey arena at the Campus Center. Season tickets will be available for 14 men’s home dates and 12 women’s home dates.
Purchasing a season ticket is the only way to guarantee seats at some of the events of the upcoming season including the men’s opening night game on Oct. 20 against Utica; the women’s team’s return to varsity action against Chatham on Oct. 21 and games against nationally-ranked Elmira on Dec. 9 and 10; the Oswego Holiday Classic in which the Lakers will welcome three of the elite programs in Division III men’s hockey on Dec. 29 and 30; and the men’s regular-season finale against rival Plattsburgh on Feb. 10.
The Oswego State men's ice hockey team is the two-time defending SUNYAC regular season champions and return the 2006 SUNYAC Player of the Year in senior captain and forward Ryan Woodward and the 2006 SUNYAC Rookie of the Year in sophomore right wing Ryan Ellis. The Lakers will face another challenging schedule and will host St. Thomas, Elmira, and New England College in the Oswego Holiday Classic. All four of the participating programs have played in the NCAA Division III Frozen Four within the last four seasons.
The Oswego State women's ice hockey program resumes play at the varsity level under the guidance of head coach Diane Dillon, a former player and assistant coach at Cornell University. The Lakers will compete in the ECAC West against teams like Cortland, Elmira, Plattsburgh, and Buffalo State.
The Laker Hall box office will be open for public sale of season tickets weekdays from 3-6 p.m. beginning Aug. 1. Payment options include cash, personal checks made out to SUNY Oswego Athletics, or Visa or Mastercard. Purchasing tickets early on will ensure your choice of the best seats in the arena.
SUNYAC, ECAC West, or NCAA playoff tickets will be sold separately and are not included in the season ticket package, but season ticket holders will have the first chance to purchase tickets for all postseason contests. Individual game tickets for regular season contests will go on sale Oct. 2.
