Why did No Class get moved to the Pit. Below "general chat" it states you can talk about anything here. I certainly did not see anything so bad to move that topic to the Pits. I think you guys are paranoid about making sure the talk here stays all nicey nice because of the other Oswego sites. I agree IO is filthy rotten and worthless; however, the Lion does not usually have a lot of vulgarity. I know a lot of you used to post on IO and got sick of the BS over there and that's how this site got started, but personally I think the format is too complicated. You can't just get on and scroll down to see what people are talking about, which isn't much, you have to jump all over the place. I guess the feeling is the Lion doesn't post anything negative about EH or the current administration, but the format is a heck of a lot easier. Just a suggestion, maybe you should think about making some changes here. I'm sure I don't know all the ins and outs of how a site like this works as far as keeping the content of the posts within reason, but it seems to me you have way too many categories and that could be why this site hasn't been a big hit yet. Just something to think about. Thanks for listening.

Points taken and I agree to a degree.
There is no way to convert this to IO or Lion format effectively. I've tried to emulate that through the "30 most recent posts" link near the top when you log in.
Understand that those sites have dumbed down the users away from what many consider proper Internet forum discussion boards. IO is closer to an actually discussion where you can read through the thread of responses from a topic.
But then again, maybe there just isn't enough to talk about in Oswego. Like you mention, not enough users as well. I have always liked the idea of easily resurecting an old discussion which can be done here easier, IMHO. ;D
Maybe the "No Class" got thrown to The Pit to quickly. That was all my doing. Your points about both those other sites are on the money. I have to admit, though, they seem to have the formula to draw attention. AND some of the users on the other sites post well.

IO is like a car accident. People feel the need to look then get sucked in. This is like ALOT of message boards.
