Um...you have that wrong. Owens is the only Dem. Based on projections, he'll get the office but not by much.

Democrat Bill Owens has received the endorsement of the Independence Party, who originally backed Republican Dede Scozzafava. She will remain on the I-line for the election, but Independence Party chairman Frank MacKay said in a statement:
“While I respect that some of our local organizations will make endorsements, as Chairman of the New York State Independence Party today I am proudly endorsing Bill Owens for Congress. I strongly urge all Independence Party members and voters throughout the 23rd District to cast their vote for Bill Owens on Tuesday,” said MacKay.
You Dems and Independents better get out there and vote. Owens needs every vote he can get.
New York Independence Party Chairman Endorses Bill Owens for Congress
Plattsburgh, NY – Today, Frank MacKay, State Chairman of the New York Independence Party, issued the following statement announcing his endorsement of Bill Owens for Congress:
“While I respect that some of our local organizations will make endorsements, as Chairman of the New York State Independence Party today I am proudly endorsing Bill Owens for Congress. I strongly urge all Independence Party members and voters throughout the 23rd District to cast their vote for Bill Owens on Tuesday,” said MacKay.
“Bill Owens will be a strong independent voice for the people of the 23rd District. Bill has helped create over 2,000 jobs and he is the only candidate with a detailed plan to create jobs in Upstate New York.
“He’ll fight to continue that work in Congress by helping turn the page on the George Bush economic agenda with the best interests of middle class families in mind at all times.”
The New York Independence Party has over 19,000 enrolled members across the 23rd District.
