Not sure, but I believe a mini tornado came through areas of the Town Of Oswego this morning (Tuesday).
About 10:30 AM, I heard the so called freight train passing close by. Trees and branches down all over the place. Electricity went off about 11:00 AM. Came back on about 3:00 PM. in a few areas.
County Route 7, Johnson Rd, was still shut down from Gardenier Rd northward as late as 8:00 PM. Lots of home generators running. Luckily for the aged and the ill, the heat wave broke and they won't have to rely on air conditioners tonight.

Buzzy. I think that there was a tornado. I see trees and limbs down in certain areas and no or little damage a little bit farther away.
Some trees and limbs blown down in one direction and others blown down in an opposite direction. A line squall blows in one direction. A tornado spins around in every direction. I heard the roar like a train too.

No tornado reported but very heavy straight -line wind damage. I Live on Co Rt 7 and just got power back on at 23:00 Tues night. The storm was phenominal when it passed through the town of Oswego at 11:05 am. I recovered some of the hail and the biggest piece was just smaller than the size of a quarter with most being marble sized. never the less quite impressive! Had to run my generator to keep the food and beer cold but waited till it actually needed it. Gas is expensive these days. I'll definitly be thinking of these storms as they as about impressive as the July 15, 1995 derecho event when I was a counselor at Camp Hollis. I was truly awed by this event.

So what has everyone seen. I hear there is quite a bit of damage all over town. We had a very powerful storm come through. Very high wind and pounding rain. All over the city there are large trees snapped in two. An electric pole on 481 by the lock broke in three parts and is hanging by the wires.
