More sadness has come by yet another death of a teenager going at a high rate of speed, fooling around behind the wheel of a vehicle, risking his life and that of others.
I suppose people will say what a hero he was for what he went through and I agree that he was for his bravery with the fight for his life and for thinking of his siblings.
BUT...the fact remains that instead of the tree, he could have hit a vehicle carrying innocent victims.
Fighting for his life taught him strength and kindness from what I have read. The death of the other kid last week didn't teach him anything about the dangers of playing around while behind the wheel of a vehicle.
I am scared that these kids feel comfortable getting behind the wheel and driving to impress rather than using common sense.
My son at 16 was not mature enough to get his permit and I did not sign for him Over the following year he proved to me that he could be responsible and matured and I did let him get it at 17. He now has his license and I feel he will continue to respect the PRIVILEGE of driving.
According to channel 9...
Clarke's father says his son was driving 140 mph when he lost control of his car and slammed into a tree.
