NEW YORK (AP) -- Four families have sued News Corp. and its MySpace social-networking site after their underage daughters were sexually abused by adults they met on the site, lawyers for the families said Thursday. The rest of this story can be found at:

I believe that online predators/predators of any kind should be punished to the fullest extent. My problem is this: Where and when are parents going to be made responsible for the safety of their children? These parents b*tch and complain about who their children meet on these sites BUT do nothing to keep them off these sites. My kids are not allowed on myspace, facebook, etc. There is no need for them to be on these sites. It may be the "in" thing with their friends but "in" my house, these sites are off limits to anyone under 18. Parents: Take responsibility. Watch what your child(ren) is/are doing while online. Block these sites. Take the computer away from them if they go against the rules. PARENT for once. Don't wait until something happens and then hire a lawyer to sue someone who did something wrong to the child(ren) that you weren't protecting yourself!
