What does that warning level mean next to a name? Just wondering.

You're no spring chicken if you know the song "BarneGoogle, with the goo, goo, googly eyes.
It was a song that was sung in vaudville. A short time later there was a comic strip named Barney Google and Snuffy Smith.
That's back in the days when comics (funny papers) were comical. No smut or anything suggestive.

Gee....I know that song, because my music teacher in the 60's taught us a lot of old songs from her childhood, Lois Scriber was her name, at KPS! Don't date me back that far!! My youngest hated the song, they thought it was scary! The older sibling would tell them that Barney was in the closet!

Her out of line behavior took place "behind the scenes" via emails for the most part.. Thats all I am at liberty to say! She has been banned since the warning! lets let her rest .

I just checked with the ultimate authority, MR TOON. If anyone in town knows anything about cartoons, it's MR TOON.
He said that the cartoon was shown on Saturday mornings in the mid and late 1960s.
The main characters were Snuffy Smith, a little, short guy who wore a wide brimmed hat which had a crooked stove pipe. He wore blue overalls, had a scruffy beard and could be taken for a hillbilly. He was noted for saying "Oh, oh my. Goodness gracious. Great balls of fire. Me O my.
Barny Google was his sidekick and accomplice. Every week he helped Snuffy try to pull off some idiotic swindle which always fell through. They were rescued from the jams by Mammy.
Mammy was taller than snuffy and sort of round and overweight. She had a plain face and always wore a babushka and smoked a corn cob pipe, same as Snuffy did.
It's too bad that they don't show these old toons again to the newer generations of kids. They really were humorous.

Mr Toon happens to be my son. Because he is an MD, it would cause embarassment on his part if I revealed his name.
For that reason, he will remain MR Toon, the cartoon maven, the toon aficionado, until farther notice. ;D

My son isn't VERY young. He's entering middle age. Why would you think that he's young. Think this through. Didn't I mention vaudeville?
I've seen vaudeville many times, dish night at the theatre, too. That might give you a clue about my age. What would possess you to think that I may be lieing?
I can go back a long ways when it comes to cartoon and comics characters. Probably some of which you have never heard of.

I was a huge Bugs Bunny fan though. I got upset later in life when I realized they were editting the cartoons to remove the violence. Give me a break. Bugs Bunny the cause of crime?
