Justice. I think it sends a signal to others, if you want to play with underage kids as sexual toys, you are breaking our laws. Fortunately he never gt that far.

Come on, the signal has been there for years. Its a crime, its simple to understand. This won't have any effect on pediphiles or anyone who is looking to have sex with underage kids. Sex abuse of minors has been all over the news and in every court in the US and still it continues. As much as you might like to believe that this is going to change anything, its won't. Pediphiles will find anyway they can to continue abusing children. Its up to the parents to step it up and take controll of who is allowed to be near thier kids, and what thier kids are doing. The sad thing is that there is no answer as to how to stop this. The sex registry is not working, the prison, probation and courts don't have a handle on controlling it. Education of our youth and of half-assed parents is the best way to slow it down.

I was never PRO anyone. All I ever stated was to have the punishment fit the crime and leave his family alone. You are one of the people who twisted what was said to fit your agendas. Anywho its over. Have a nice day.

Education of our youth and of half-assed parents is the best way to slow it down. I have been seeing this attack on the arrested man as personal vendetta by those who were jealous of the man. The types of attacks are vindictive and have rooted blood lust. I am quite pissed that the man brought disgrace to this city, but we are far from a city of do-gooders. We all have skeletons in our closest. Those that deny it have the most to hide, IMO. This guy has NOT been going after kids in the past. I think he was led into the arrest as well. A setup after being told things like "don't worry about it, everyone is doing it" by those who really wanted to see him sink. I don't see him as a man who had been looking for it. Without any proof of him previously going after young girls, its hard for me to call him a true predator. There are other predators that aren't attacked with the ferocity and THAT needs to change.

“The wiretap showed that the defendant routinely engaged in incredibly selfish, self-indulgent, manipulative and morally repugnant conduct, that was criminal in nature,” he wrote in his sentencing memorandum. “His conduct has dealt a devastating blow to the ones that were closest to him.” He also wrote that the report submitted by Alan Andrews detailing his diagnosis of Gosek “may be fundamentally flawed.” Andrews noted Gosek has a personality disorder fueled by the consumption of alcohol. That was based solely on discussions with the defendant and not any of the evidence in the case, Katko pointed out. “The wiretap in fact shows that (Gosek) was likely completely sober for the vast majority of the calls and that he nevertheless continued his pursuit of underaged women, among others, with great zest,” according to Katko. ***this is what I just read*** Anyway, he will spend time in prison getting help that we, the taxpayers, will pay for. Meanwhile, people with cancer continue to fight the insurance companies daily to get them to help pay for their cancer treatments.

Thank you Cleaning Lady, it nice to see someone feels the way I do!Where did you get that information about the wire tap?
